Is this Meta recruiter email a scam?

Part of our guide: How to spot a fake job offer →
Start with the sender's domain: unless it ends in meta.com, this is almost certainly a scam. Meta's recruiters email from the company's own address, never from a stand-in like careersconnect-zone.com. Notice the parts, a flattering "your background caught our attention" hook, a household-name employer, and a nudge to just reply and continue. That trio is the fake-recruiter template. Meta posts every real opening on its own careers site under meta.com and never runs hiring through a personal Gmail or a WhatsApp chat.

How to verify it yourself
- Look at the sender's email domain, not the display name. Meta writes from @meta.com, not a look-alike with extra words.
- Search the exact role on the company's official careers page. A real opening exists there.
- Never move to WhatsApp/Telegram to "continue the process", that's where the scam happens.
- A real recruiter won't ask for personal details or a payment before an interview.
